A capacity building workshop focused on empowering women entrepreneurs through the strategic use of social media was successfully held on Friday, 20.02.2026, at the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat.
The program was conducted by People’s Micro-commerce Ltd. (PML) and brought together 36 women entrepreneurs representing 30 Grama Niladhari Divisions within the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat area. The workshop delivered practical insights and hands on guidance on leveraging social media platforms to grow businesses, expand market reach and unlock new opportunities in the evolving digital landscape.
The event was attended by Women Development Officers from the Maharagama Divisional Secretariat, including Ms. H. L. Dayani and Ms. Sandhya Kumari, together with the Chief Executive Officer of PML, Mr. Wasantha Gunawardena and other representatives of the PML team.
